We are heading to West Virginia for a three day retreat to have wild adventures and to draw closer to a God Who loves us. We will be staying at Glade Springs Resort for four nights and we will ski, snow board and tube one day at Winter Place Resort. The rest of the time will be filled with group activities, worship, teaching times, free time, playing in the snow and so much more! The girls will be staying in one cottage house and the guys in another. Each rooms sleeps approximately 4 people. There will be six adult chaperones attending the trip. We will be taking the church bus and two vans.
Saturday—meet at church at 6 a.m./drive all day! Sunday—Retreat and play day! Monday—Ski, board & Tube all day! Tuesday—Retreat and play day! Wednesday—Head home! Back by 11:59 pm Bible, notepad, pen, warm clothes, jacket, hat, gloves, snow pants (if you have them they are very helpful for playing in the snow on retreat days; available to rent ONLY on the day we ski), boots or other closed-toed shoes that you can wear in the snow, extra socks, toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, brush, etc.). This is not a complete list, please be smart when packing. Please only one suitcase & backpack. Bring money for 5 meals and snacks on your own, approximately $40 to $45. Do Not Bring…alcohol, tobacco, drugs, lighters, weapons and expensive items. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
More to know… Limited partial or full scholarships are available ONLY for the “retreat only” option, skiing and tubing may not be checked. You must have participated in the fundraising to be eligible for a scholarship. Skiing, Snowboarding, Tubing, Bowling, Swimming, Fitness Room, Game Room, Playing Cards, Board Games and of course Snow Ball Fights! Each participant must have a notarized medical release form on file. Please turn in the carbon copy Equipment Rental Form with your registration if you are renting ski/boarding equipment or clothing. $50 Deposit & registration form due by October 6th. Final balance is due by November 10th. A $20 late fee will be charged for late registrations and late final payments. No refunds unless we are able to receive a refund from our travel agent. All participants are expected to act respectfully and responsibly. Participants may be sent home at their parent’s expense for improper behavior.
