Committed to the early years of our children, Aldersgate provides the Christian Learning Center for before and after school care. Pre-school classes available from 2 to 4 years old; Before and after school care provided for older children. The Center is open from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM

Our Mission: To provide a warm and nurturing environment in which the child can grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually in a way that is honoring to Christ. We are always striving, in every way, to provide an environment that is safe, caring, educationally age-appropriate and fun for the child.

School Age: We offer after school care to students from Starkey and Walsingham Elementary. We provide van transportation from school. Students are provided a snack, homework time, free play and center time. Art projects are offered as well as time to play outside. We allow plenty of opportunities to “just relax and be a kid.”

Summer Camp: Summer is an exciting time here at Aldersgate. Summer camp is provided for the whole summer – from the time school is out, until it begins again in August. Weekly field trips and special guests are a special part of our program. Art projects, Chapel and outside activities help to round out our week. Each year we use a Vacation Bible School program to give us a theme and structure to our summer.

What is a typical day at the Learning Center like?

• Preschool children learn letters, numbers, colors and shapes
• Our children learn about the seasons and special holidays throughout the year
• We have a music teacher who teaches them new songs
• In our weekly chapel program our children are introduced to “church” as they sing and listen to Pastors Chuck or Mrs. Kim, our Children's Director, tell them a Bible story. We collect an offering each week which we use to support a little child in the Dominican Republic .
• Bible stories are taught in the classroom. It is our goal and intent to install a love and respect for our Lord Jesus Christ in each child and mold them with this philosophy in mind and heart.
• Special Days – We have special events throughout the year to entertain as well as educate our children.
  These special days range from Community Helper Day to our Fall Festival to special guests and theatre groups.
